CONNECTED
Salem’s transportation plan will shape what our streets, sidewalks, and bikeways look like for generations to come. Our ward can lead the city as the safest, easiest to navigate, and most sustainable part of Salem.
SUSTAINABLE
From the city’s climate footprint to our city’s budget, we need to ensure that we are handing the best possible version of our city to the next generation. Our climate action plan is an ambitious statement of what we can be as a city; we need to ensure that we have the resources to make it happen.
THRIVING
Our family lives just north of downtown. I am grateful that our city center attracts investment from entrepreneurs, artists, and residents to keep it growing and a more vibrant neighborhood for everyone. Council has many levers to keep downtown thriving and ensure neighborhoods are connected and flourishing.
INNOVATIVE
Our city government faces a time of real uncertainty. They need champions on council to both challenge and support them as they bring new ideas. We’ve tried more with less, and less with less. We need to be open to trying something different.
SAFE
A vision for Salem must include the safety of all its residents, especially the most vulnerable. Every council member must be dedicated to ensuring we don’t go backwards on our effective housing solutions but continue to build on our success. I support transportation measures that make streets and sidewalks safer, programs that keep kids engaged in their communities, and budgets that keep our public safety programs fully staffed and effective.
